Teach them young, for that will be their conviction when they are grown. As a ‘single mom’ then, i had to look for ways to make this mom thing easy on me , so i had to figure out ways to get my boy involve in our daily chores too there by teaching him basic life skills. This worked for me so i continued with my 2nd and today it’s engraved in their minds… No more after school shouting : pick up this or do this or that, they KNOW! my first is 8 years now so it been like 5 years of daily tiny steps.
